Casteel & Associates is owned and operated by Jim Casteel. Jim is the current President of the Alabama Private Investigator's Association,www.apianow.org ,and currently serves on the state regulatory Board, The Alabama Private Investigator's Board, www.apib.alabama.gov .
Jim has also served on the board of the national Association of Missing and Exploited Children as well as serving on the board of the National Council of Investigation and Security Services. Jim is licensed in Alabama license #31, and Florida

Jim Pioneered Continuing education in Alabama and hosted the first four annual continuing educational conferences in Alabama. Jim has shared his experience and knowledge by training investigators in Alabama, Georgia, Texas and Florida through their state's associations and is the primary author of the book (The Professional Guide For Alabama Private Investigators) which is co-authored by Kelly Riddle of San Antonio TX. and written with the assistance of Stephen Shaw (Birmingham Attorney). The book is now the study guide for the Alabama private Investigator's state exam. Jim Has specialized in surveillance and case strategy since 1989 in both domestic investigations and personal injury cases. Jim has handled many types of cases in Alabama including Capital Murder defense, Child Custody, Internal Theft, Undercover Narcotics Operations in industrial settings ( working in conjunction with grant funded drug task force), Workplace Violence prevention, Personal Injury Fraud, Franchise infringement, copy right infringement, Stalking cases, Counter Surveillance, Auto and Heavy Equipment Theft. Jim has been declared an expert witness in covert camera systems by a Federal Judge and has worked in use, sales and development of covert cameras.
